The Breath of Automatic Freedom (Embodied Liberation)

When the 10th fetter (ignorance/not-knowing) finally drops, terms like awakening or enlightenment feel like clunky, dualistic toys.

While some might lucidly emphasize the "no big deal" aspect of this condition in their communications—to prevent the ego from specializing the experience—we do experience a biological resurrection. This is the most natural state for a human organism, yet extraordinary in its ordinariness, because it is the end of the persecution terror that haunts our genetic heritage and characterizes the fettered state of ignorance. 

The experience of self is not personal—it is a biological transmission—a repetitive blueprint of self-protection handed down through ancestral lineages. It is a survival mechanism evolved to navigate a world of threats; a primal code that signals the organism: "I must be a separate 'somebody' to avoid being destroyed".

By digesting the root of the self, you become the "end of the line" for that specific frequency of fear. This is why liberation feels physical and visceral (rather than just mental). We are clearing the epigenetic echo of eons of survival-based contraction.

The flavor that practices like Chöd and Vajrayana bring to the natural state is a subtle, all-pervading field of total-body electricity. As this type of path specifically works with the devouring of self, we don't just let go: the self is offered up as a feast for the Life Function. Since there is an absence of “No” in the system, the body-mind becomes a high-speed conductor for natural aliveness. Action erupts with direct precision because the interference of doubt, fear, and purpose has been deleted. Without a self trying to get it right, the system simply is right—sharp, immediate response of reality to itself.

You are dead as a person, and alive as the unconditioned movement of the universe.

This is why liberation is not personal. When you liberate an old karmic pattern (in Chöd this would be called ancestral demon) you are actually clearing the code for the entire genetic line. You are the point where the information changes.

Karma is the kinetic momentum of information passing through the genetic matrix. When the 10th fetter drops, the energetic echo of “mine” that seemed to experience that momentum is devoured; it is seen to be a pattern of resistance with inherent self-liberation coded in it.

If the genetic matrix is a field of pure connectivity, karma is simply stored tension within that field. By digesting the self, the "blockage" in the lineage is cleared. The information doesn't stop flowing, it just stops contracting. You become a point in the genetic matrix where the survival-terror code has reached exhaustion. Because you are non-separate from your lineage, the radical sobriety of the release back-propagates through the information field. 

The survival instinct is metabolized into absolute satiation. The same energy that once manifested as the terror of extinction is now the deep, cellular well-being of the natural state. This is the perfection of the process: karma was always just liberation in a state of high-pressure density. 

This is why it isn't “your” liberation. A person cannot be liberated; a person is simply a projection of entangled web-density. When it unravels, the total system simply returns to its natural state of automatic freedom.

You are the hollow vessel through which the eons-long Exhale of the ancestors is organically occurring.

This is the unpolluted matrix of Dzogchen. It is the basic nature of experience before self-reference and the hall of projections began to distort the data. This is liberation visceralized: the natural state made flesh. Both the madness (samsara) and the illumination (nirvana) of the world appear as the spontaneous display of the Ground (lhunrub).
