Luminous Phantoms of Delight

There is something mysterious in fully embracing our humanness
Redemptive love bleeds from deep heart break
Your most human flaw is the thing that can redeem you
It takes sincerity, willingness and unfiltered openness
To go to those places
To dive into fear, to go to places that scare you
Turn towards that which you find repulsive
Something otherworldly is born from genuine vulnerability
That has amazing vitality, endless depth
When I entered the path
I thought I wanted Truth for my own sake
But when I died I came to see that Truth is the absence of self
I came to see there is nothing individual about this desire, or what anything ever was, actually
This fundamental instinct is not from time and space
Its way of moving is of a completely different order
It lives in our innermost longing
First it may appear as seeking energy
Identifying with the human condition
Suffering is the birthing fuel, a terrifying dynamism of its breath
Transmuting, digesting, radiating
Breaking through the solidity, bleeding to the world of becoming
This otherworldly energy, intelligence
Giving itself unconditionally, each moment
It’s unconditional surrender
The innocent simplicity of What Is
There is no other version of reality that ‘could’ or ‘should’ occur
There is no time
It may sound simple, but the implications are radical
Non separation, wholeness with every breath; the whole universe is gently shivering
With all its nuances, complex depth and natural perfection
The collective shadow generates immense energy
The heart of compassion breaks open: this empty brilliance
Everything serves that, and it serves the whole
It hides itself in the human experience
When I fully accepted that no one can see my pain
When I saw it needed not to be fixed
When I knew there is nothing I can do
Aloneness morphed into deepest imaginable intimacy
An invisible secret chamber
Of deepest communion
Where the humanness merges with the primordial ground
Surrounded by luminous phantoms of delight
